I am not going to engage in any name calling or attacks on April although they seem to be well deserved. It is truly despicable to attack a creature without the ability to defend herself. I will try to fulfill the function of Shadow's advocate.

April has such good recall of events that she can't even remember that Shadow is female referring to Shadow as "he." From what I can tell from the available material the "Shadow and Friends Show" was April's high point in her career. A Google image search of "April Brucker" and it's variants comes up with several newer pics of interest:

Here she is at a memorable performance at the "Teabag" somewhere in New York City. She has added several pounds since coming to Toronto. April had the chutzpah to wear her undergarments to the performance showing off a "beer gut." Her ventriloquist doll can best be described as the "Bride of Chucky." Apparently this doll is supposed to be a "Mae West" character and be sexy.

She is wearing an ill-fitting jacket with a black skirt with a bad blond hair dye job. At least she is covering up her gut with the skirt! Contrast these pics with the promo shots she took with Shadow.

Shadow does not drink out of the toilet. She has several water bowls throughout the Star Ray TV facility. April is very intimate with toilets; she makes it no secret that she "was" bulimic in her blogs. At least she could have kept her dirty laundry to herself.

If Shadow bit April twice, she can prove it by showing us the scars. More bunk!

In the many times I've been at the station, I've never seen Shadow asleep period. Shadow has boundless energy. Shadow associates turned on TV lights with treats, what dog would sleep during treat time?

Dear reader I ask you to watch the "Shadow and Friends" pilot on tobroadcast.com and you tell me who is the "talentless mutt." I'd be willing to bet that you won't think it's Shadow!


Jan says April doesn't have to worry about working with him again because for various reasons she never will be invited back to Star Ray TV!

All I can say is April what are you trying to prove? Shadow is and will be a bigger star than you could ever hope to be. Your attitude alone will close a lot of doors like the door closed at Star Ray. We gave you a chance and continue to give you world-wide exposure. Is this what we get in return

As a fan of April Brucker I think you trashing her is a crime. Her stage presence is magnificent and her jokes are crisp and tight. I don't know April or what she did in Canada but she is making a name for herself in New York City. I can't say that what you said happened did or didn't happen but I chilled with her once or twice and she was cool. I have been to several of her shows and am on her mailing list and have been nothing but impressed. No disrespecting you or Shadow, but those are my two cents.

I have never met April but when I seen her on Shadow's show I thought she sucked. I laughed my ass off when Shadow came on. I think it was lame that Jan used her. Let me guess, if this is not April posting, it's her new boyfriend and I guess this guy "Jason Mitchell" dissing her is her old boyfriend. Ha

I read some of April's blogs, sadly I think she is too unfunny in real life to be funny on stage. The funniest people around here are funny all the time and don't have messed up lives like April.

April has some demos on her website. Here is one sample, the rest are similar: "My boyfriend is kinda scary, the first time he met me he said, 'I'm going to pee on you so my roommates know your mine,' the even scarier part is that he lives alone."

I must admit, the humour of this joke escapes me. It sounds more like the plot of a D grade movie.

April has been rather prolific in writing "Letterman style" top ten lists for this site.

One list says it all: "Top Ten Reasons Why Psycho Bitches Rule."

The list that got Dave going was: "The Break Up Alphabet." Dave seems like a sensitive guy who tried to help April. He also claims that he wrote April's act. Dave, I hope that you didn't write that pissing joke!

After reading April and Dave's stuff I wonder how did Star Ray TV get "lucky" enough to get mixed up with with April. This is what happens when you have an "open door" policy.

By "group" you mean April groupies at NYU. In my opinion April is missing her calling, she is a drama queen not a comedy queen. April's writings do have a twisted soap opera feel to them. This Dave sounds more like a manager rather than a boyfriend. Anyone can see how April's relationship with Dave was beneficial to her.

I have seen "Jason Michell's" blog but I am unaware of others. April does piss people off. For example, it was April's uncalled for trashing of Shadow that started this forum topic.

Shadow is a star, no doubt; she was on Global TV across Ontario a couple weeks ago along with Jan. I think April is upset that Shadow is getting top billing and her big ego prompted her tirade against Shadow. After all, Shadow is just a dog.

Jan did say that April's mother is "hard to take." April did not get messed up by herself. April lacks class, she is more like Brittany Spears than Audrey Hepburn. A Star Ray regular had an interesting take on April: "she is very small town."

April does have a talent for drama. The ventriloquism is a good gimmick. The April and Dave soap opera does have a certain prurient appeal. I think her comedy blows.

April needs to get some couth, keep her dirty laundry to herself, learn not to burn bridges, and find her true calling in life.

As self consumed as April is, I doubt that April would accept anything less than obsession from her boyfriend. April's writings are scary for sure, Dave is better at managing his public persona.

For the record your claim that Dave "threatened to kidnap April" is totally unsubstantiated and could be considered libel. I think Dave truly loved April but April used Dave as a means to promote and advance her dubious comedy "career."

This is Dave O' Gara former boyfriend of April Brucker. I just found this thread and need clear a few things up.

1. I didn't like the pee joke. I didn't write the pee joke. I did however write a lot of material for April. None of it was anything I would take on stage myself, but the idea was to point her in the right direction as far as joke writing goes. April used to do her comedy act completely free of jokes. Every bit she did was like that pee joke. I tried to change that for her.

2. I am neither scary nor obsessive. I began dating about one month after April and I split up, I have been with the same girl ever since. We are moving in together in March. I never pranked April on the phone, and I never harassed her anonymously. In fact I haven't done anything but try to defuse the lies that April has put into cyberspace about me.

3. I don't know who is siding with April. I still talk to many of her comedic peers. I still do shows in NY (I have one next month) though I am a road comic. Most people who know April also know how troubled she is. I haven't lost one friend over the break up. I don't know who Victoria is (I suspect it is April most of her defenders are) but it angers me that a stranger would claim to know me.

I have many many blogs addressing the situation and to be honest I'm tired of the whole thing.
