IN MEMORY OF SHADOW
Image
2000 - 2013

With great sadness Jan Pachul and Star Ray TV announce the death of Shadow the Wonder Dog on Monday February 25, 2013 due to strokes. Shadow was in exceptional health all her life and only became ill the last few months.

As Star Ray TV's mascot since 3 months old, Shadow has been featured on Star Ray TV shows over the years and has numerous credits in mainstream media. Shadow has appeared in the Toronto Star, the National Post, on Global Television and the CBC. Her last media appearance was in Now magazine. At one time Shadow was the spokesdog for Benny Bullys pet treats.

Shadow was very intelligent and could understand several hundred words. Shadow had unique vocalizations and motions in her own dog language depending on how she felt or what she wanted. Shadow's natural intelligence and poise lead to the nickname "The Wonder Dog."

A winsome personality, Shadow had befriended many in the Main and Gerrard area of Toronto and beyond. Through the Internet Shadow had fans worldwide. As a friend Shadow provided comfort to many people. She visited Count Ray in hospital, cheered up a woman with cancer whose dying wish was to see Shadow one more time.

Shadow's favourite activity was riding in the Star Ray TV truck. Shadow somehow knew when it was time to go driving in the truck. Shadow loved chicken and Benny Bully's pet treats. Just the mention of the word "chicken" would get her excited, so we would spell it out to trick Shadow. It didn't take long before Shadow learned how to spell chicken!

Shadow is sadly missed by everyone at Star Ray and all her friends worldwide.

It was almost love at first sight when I first met Shadow, so when I heard that Shadow had died, I was very sad.
She was a Wonder Dog for sure. She was an amazing dog. I will always remember what a great dog she was.
I wish I had spent more time taking her for walks, never the less, I had fun when ever I did take her out.
RIP up in doggy heaven Shadow.

They are such wonderful creatures that bring us so much love that one person can give us.... but sadly we always seem to outlive them and have to suffer life without them. All we can do is look back and remember the good times that we spent with our angels from heaven.

So sad to hear about Shadow. She is in Heaven now, and soon, we will all be as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it's been some time since Shadow the Wonder Dog's passing. However, I still send my deepest condolences. Thank you for your services an amazing broadcaster, I hope you're doing well. I bet she was an exceptional dog. I never met her in this world, but would have love too. Hopefully I will in another.

Stay Golden,

I wish I had met Shadow.
I enjoyed the dog stories and it reminds me of when I used to watch television, towards the end I used to crave something, anything, please, anything that was not murder, mayhem, evil, dark and I found myself craving an episode of Lassie or Benji...
From my online handle, you may have guessed that I am a Public Broadcasting Station fan and wish this station long life and prosperity.
How about a locally produced miniseries about dogs? Fiction, non-fiction, fun, what not? Interviews with good walkers etc.
How about a show about gangstalking and targeted individual awareness and investigations?
Heck I would help out if I could...
